New Hampshire Pick 4 gives you multiple ways to play. It is one of the most exciting aspects of the game, allowing you to personalize the experience to suit your own strategy. Learn about all the different bet types below - will you stick to the same style each time or mix it up?
The play type that is hardest to win but gives you the biggest prize is a Straight. You need to match all four of the winning numbers in exact order, so a wager of 1234 would only pay out if the drawn numbers are 1234.
For a Box bet, the numbers you play can be drawn in any order and you still win. For example, a bet on 1234 would give you a payout even if the winning numbers are 4321, 1243 or any other combination of those numbers.
It's possible to play just two numbers instead of four. Play a Front Pair (first two digits), Middle Pair (second and third numbers) or Back Pair (last two digits). To win, you need to get both numbers in the correct position.
The easiest way to win is a Single Digit play. Choose just one number between 0 and 9, specify which position to bet on (first, second, third or fourth), and match it to receive a payout.
The New Hampshire Lottery allows you to place bets on any or all of the bet types. This means you can play a Straight and a Box at the same time, so you put money on your numbers being drawn in exact order and any order. When you play a Box, or combine it with other bet types, it matters how many of your numbers are the same. The more that are the same, the fewer 'ways' those numbers can be arranged. This makes it harder to win, but gives you a larger payout.
