What is Pick 4?
Pick 4 is a lottery in which four numbers between 0 and 9 are randomly selected in every draw. You have control over how to play and even how much to wager. The New Hampshire Lottery shares its version of the game with Maine and Vermont as part of the Tri-State Lottery.
When do Pick 4 draws take place?
There are two daily draws in Pick 4. The Day draw takes place at 1:10 PM ET, followed by the Evening draw at 6:50 PM ET.
What time do ticket sales close?
The cut-off time for the Day draw is 1:00 PM, and for the Evening draw it is 6:45 PM ET.
What are the different ways you can play?
You can choose between several bet types. A Straight is a wager on the numbers appearing in exact order, while a Box is a bet on your numbers being drawn in any order. You can also play a Pair or a Single Digit, or combine multiple bet types. See the Ways to Play page for more details.
How much can I wager?
You can wager as little as $0.50 per play, or in $0.50 increments up to a maximum of $5.
What prizes can I win?
Payouts in Pick 4 depend on a few factors, such as how much you wager and which bet type you played. View a full prize table on the Odds and Prizes page. For Box plays, the prize also depends on whether you played a 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way or 24-Way combination.
What does a 4-Way play mean?
This is the number of possible winning combinations for a particular four-digit combination. A 4-Way play has three identical numbers and one that is unique, such as 1112, as it can be arranged four ways (1112, 1121, 1211 and 2111).
What are the odds of winning?
Your odds of winning depend on your type of bet. The chances of matching four numbers in exact order are 1 in 10,000.
Can I multiple draws in a row?
You can enter your numbers for up to 21 consecutive days, or 42 consecutive draws if you play both Day and Evening games.
How old do I have to be to play?
You must be at least 18 years old to buy a lottery ticket in New Hampshire.
How do I claim any prizes I win?
If you're win is below $600, visit a New Hampshire Lottery retailer. If it's higher, you can go to the NH Lottery headquarters. You can also mail in winning tickets of any value to: Attn: Claims, New Hampshire Lottery, 14 Integra Drive, Concord, NH 03301.
What is the claim period?
All prizes must be claimed within one year of the draw date.
Will my prize be taxed?
There is no state tax on lottery prizes in New Hampshire, but federal tax is withheld on all prizes above $5,000 at a rate of 24 percent.
